WILLIAM MORRIS® - brand story

William Morris , painter, poet, artisan, engineer, printer and architect of “Villa Maund”.

In 1888 he had built two almost similar houses for John Oakley Maund in the Anglo-Scottish cottage style in Weggis on Lake Lucerne in Switzerland and Schoppernau in the Arlberg region in Austria. His pattern books (plans, elevations, etc.) can still be seen in the Kunsthaus Zurich. The labels of our Morris spirits are the homage to the velvet carpets designed and produced by William Morris own manufactory in 19th century.

The packaging design by Theresia Angel-Hämmerle (Wild Alps - Design) was awarded at the IWSC 2015 in London.
